The Industrial Training Experience for BTech. MCA students at NIIT

May 2010 was a  day to be remembered by selected students from different centers (NIIT Chandigarh 32 D Centre, NIIT Chandigarh 17 B Centre, NIIT Ambala Cantt Centre) when they make their first career move,  as their Industrial Training projects were evaluated by two most trusted brand organizations as a part of an Industrial Training collaboration  by NIIT set of Centers.

Having Experienced Management Team and has In-house Software Development capabilities. 365 x 24 x 7 operations. The group was first welcomed at IDS Phase-VIII Mohali Office, by  Ms. Gagandeep Kaur and was followed by an interacting session and introduction to the IDS Infotech Ltd. for the benefit of the students. She representing, one of the leading IT & ITeS organization of the region advised and evangelized as to what skills , qualities are expected to get a job at a good IT organization. At length a job role and process of recruitment for vacancy was also described by her. She wished success to all the participants at the event.

@ Project Evaluation:

Students presented their Synopsis and projects completed at various stages and the panelists provided lots of inputs about project handling, thumb rules and aproaches.

A lot of focus was set on usage of documentation tools provided by NIIT as it was discussed by HR from IDS that documentation is important Key Performance Area in IT profession. Snacks and cool drinks helped the students beat the heat of May

@ “Who came first- egg or chicken ?”  : -

While answering various queries, Mr. bhrigu emphasized the importance of core technologies like .Net & Java, supported by enlightening AV’s and made  students aware of how Top Ups like Silverlight, PhP and other new technologies should be adapted to enhance career options in IT scope.

At the end a competition was announced wherein the group winning Best Project would be facilitated with “appreciation Letter from NIIT and a cash award”, conditions were a good walkthrough evaluation and documentation.
